World Refugee Day at Voice of Refugees

Each year on World Refugee Day, Voice of Refugees gathers our community to celebrate the resilience, courage, and perseverance of refugee families who are rebuilding their lives in Orange County. It is a time not only to honor their journeys, but also to learn more about the countries and cultures they come from, creating space for understanding, connection, and shared community.

This year, we are also creating an opportunity to highlight the talents and skills within the refugee community. Refugees who are developing small businesses, crafts, foods, or services will be able to share their work with the community through an exchange of a service or product. Participants will be invited to make a financial contribution that goes directly toward supporting these emerging businesses.

World Refugee Day reminds us that refugees are not defined by displacement, but by resilience, creativity, and the determination to build a new future. Through gathering, learning, and supporting one another, we celebrate the richness that our global neighbors bring to our community.
